Electronic Neck Targeting Assistant (ENTA®)

De Koningh Medical Systems creates the innovation in HIP surgery

Introduction

Operative Techniques for hip resurfacing today often require extensive acetabular exposure and very precise femoral neck targeting to get an accurate and reliable implant position. If
this procedure is not done correctly, the lifetime of the new HIP joint is shortened, excessive wear and femoral head fracture can occur. Current techniques to find the true center of the femoral neck as the reference for HIP resurfacing include X-Ray, computer navigation systems and/or large incisions
and exposure in combination with mechanical jigs and instruments. Procedures are time-consuming, expensive and complex and extend patient anesthesia and recovery time.

Electronic Neck Targeting Assistant (ENTA®)
The ENTA is a single use, handheld device that easily finds the true centre of the femoral neck, just within 1 minute. It will give the surgeon a perfect reference to accurately position the new HIP implant. Not only the fast and easy procedure and the very cost-effective device, but also the perfect reliability and ergonomics of ENTA is an innovative revolution in surgery. ENTA is designed for Minimally Invasive Surgery.
