De Koningh Medical Systems innovative partnership
Minimally invasive interventional techniques most needed, yet least provided, are those procedures with which one can access deeper structures in the human body with minimal damage to healthy tissue.
Within the project ‘PITON’, De Koningh Medical Systems closely cooperates with universities, academic hospitals and specialists to find an innovative solution for these procedures.
PITON stand for ‘Percutanious Interventions Through tele-Operated Needles’ and is started t
o create a steerable needle under MRI-vision conditions in the body.
This will e.g. enable accurately take a biopt without any damage to vital organs.
The partnership is working together for a 3-year period to a innovative new approach in surgery.
