During this Phase we interpret the prototype in terms of a detailed 3-D design, inclusive of all components, software and the user interface. De Koningh Medical Systems makes use of its more than one hundred years’ experience in production and assembly in, for example, selecting the optimum (biocompatible) materials and production method.
Strategic approach
We use the 3-D design to develop a strategic approach to the production and assembly process that answers questions including the following:
- What is the optimum technological solution?
- Which components and materials are required for this solution?
- Will the components be procured or produced in-house?
- Will De Koningh Medical Systems keep stocks (of some) of the components?
- What is the most efficient production method?
